The Student Store is scheduled to be open at lunch every day this week and after school on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The Store is run by parent volunteers so this schedule can be subject to change.</div><br><div><b>AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS:  <i>Football:</i> </b>The FIYA 6th Grade Flag Football league does not offer playoffs or an official championship.  However, the unbeaten on the field CCMS Panthers will be facing the unbeaten on the field The City squad this Friday, November 6 at 4:00 pm on the CCMS field, in the final game of the year.   This is a battle of the only two remaining unbeaten on the field teams in the league.<b><i>Girls&nbsp;</i></b><i><b>Basketball: &nbsp;</b></i>Girl's Varsity and J.V. basketball tryouts will be held on Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13 in both the front and back gyms after school. <i><b>Boys Basketball:</b></i> November 12th is the 8th grade tryouts; November 13th is the 7th grade tryouts. Both 7th and 8th graders       will tryout on November 19th. There will be an additional tryout on November 20th if necessary. 6th graders can sign up either November 12th or 13th; there are no final cuts and everyone makes a team. All tryouts will be in the back gym from 2:30 to 5pm.</div><br><div><b>PTSA MEETING:</b> CCMS parents invited to our PTSA meeting.  Please join us at the monthly PTSA meeting on Thursday, November 12th, at 6:30 pm in the Middle School Library. Entry forms are available in the CCMS library and on the front counter in the Main Office.  The deadline to turn in the form to the Main Office is Wednesday, November 4 before 8:20am. </div><br><div><b>PRIDE AWARDS:</b>  6th grade awards will be presented on Tuesday, November 3,   during PAWS; 7th grade awards will be presented on November 5th during PAWS; and 8th grade awards will be presented on November 10th during PAWS.</div><br><div><b>MOCK TRIAL: </b>The first mock trial competition will take place at 4:15 pm at the Mosk courthouse at 1st and Hill in downtown LA on Wednesday. November 4, 2015. There will be one last practice for the prosecution team at 2:30 pm on Monday, November 2, 2015. "Respect Yourself, Say No To Drugs, Alcohol &amp; Tobacco!"   Wednesday, Oct. 28th - It's Wear Red Day:  Students &amp; staff are encouraged to wear red to show their support of saying "NO" to Drugs, Alcohol &amp; Tobacco, and of saying "Yes" to healthy lifestyles. Take the Anti-Drug Pledge:   At Lunch, CCMS students can take the "Anti-Drug Pledge" and get their red hand print on our "Respect Yourself... Say No To Drugs, Alcohol &amp; Tobacco" wall.  Participating students will receive a bookmark and pencil as a prevention thank you gift.</span></div><br><div><b>MAGAZINE DRIVE:  </b>Prize Day and Bingo Ice Cream Party is Coming! On Tuesday, October 27 during lunchtime, qualifying students are invited to room 305 for their chance at Monster Money, Spin the Wheel and the Money Tornado. After lunch, qualifying students will attend the Bingo &amp; Ice Cream Party in the Panther Plaza. All teachers will receive a list of students with permission to attend. Limo Lunch Winners: The winners of the Limo Lunch will ride in style to Dave &amp; Buster&#8217;s on Monday, October 26.
