ATTENTION ALL 6TH GRADERS: Please join your WEB leaders at lunch this Friday, August 26th in the 6th grade quad (near hall 1) for a fun lunch with your WEB groups and a special treat!
PTSA: Kathy Vigil, PTSA Student Store coordinator will be selling PTSA Coupon Books for $20 (cash, check made payable to CCMS PTSA, or credit card) before school only on Friday, August 26 from 7:45 am to 8:30 am in front of the office.
PE CLOTHES: Kathy Vigil, PTSA Student Store coordinator, will be selling PE clothes in front of school on Monday, August 29 from 7:45am to 8:30 am. Cost is $12 for shorts and $12 for shirt.
IMPROV PROGRAM: Students: attend MANDATORY Trial Class on August 25 from 2:30-4:30 pm in Room 305 ★ ALL new & returning students are required to attend the Trial Class ~ come to see how much FUN this is! ★ Returning Students ONLY are required to attend a Returning Student's Class on Friday, August 26 from 2:30-4:30 pm. Parents: attend one of the following MANDATORY Parent Meetings: Thursday, August 25 from 4:30 to 5:15 pm in Room 305 ~OR~ Friday, August 26 from 4:30-5:15 pm in Room 305.
AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS: Girls Volleyball: Tryouts for 6th grade Girls Volleyball are starting next week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday after school in the gym. Tryouts will start at 2:45 and end at 4:15 PM. It is important that you attend each tryout. Tryout attire, shorts, tennis shoes, t-shirt knee-pads are optional. Panther PE Uniform is great! For more information contact Coach Tom Salter (MS Athletic Director) or Coach Angelo Sablan! Attention girls JV volleyball players: there will be a mandatory meeting on Friday, August 26th in room 401 during lunch. Bring your lunch to the meeting. Varsity, 7th Grade, and JV teams begin practice on September 1st beginning at 4:30 pm. Cross Country: There is a meeting for all students interested in participating in Cross Country on Monday, August 29 after school on the grass field. Flag Football: There is a meeting for 7th and 8th graders after school on Tuesday, August 30 on the grass field. There is a 6th grade meeting on Wednesday, August 31 after school on the grass field. CCHS STUDENT-ATHLETE NIGHT: We are excited to have our first College Bound Student-Athlete Night at Culver City High School on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 6pm to 8:30 pm in the CCHS gym. Please see flyer on the CCHS website. This is a great opportunity for attendees to learn about the college recruiting process, the new NCAA eligibility requirements, NAIA, and the importance of creating a strong academic profile (a-g requirements) for DI, DII, and DIII schools. The event is FREE and will include a presentation from the company, Clear the Clearinghouse, followed by a panel of former CCHS student-athletes, staff, and parents who played at the collegiate level. This event is open to CCUSD students, parents, and community members. Light refreshments will be provided. #culverpride
