C.S. Lewis dedicated his novel The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe to his goddaughter Lucy. In his dedication he states that by the time the book is done and printed, she would be to old for fairy tales. He goes on to write, "some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tails again."
