Students will read and annotate the article, including identifying all the adjectives in the reading.  They will answer the four questions that follow the reading.  Lastly, students will write 15 original sentences about Islam using the adjectives identified. Welcome to second semester.  I have been working hard to update all assignments on Aeries.  I have a few more days to submit them, please review grades with your son/daughter and make sure that all grades are accounted for.

 

If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.  Also, I gave students a two week overview, this half sheet is intended to help students and families stay updated on what happens in the classroom.  Of course, we may need to modify the plan.

Semester test:

 

The test will consists of 50 multiple choice questions and 50 vocabulary/spelling questions.

 

Multiple choice:  100 pts (2 points per question)

80-90% of the questions will be very similar to Ancient Rome and Feudal Europe questions.  10-20% of the questions will be about Japan (geography and social pyramid)

 

Vocabulary: 50 points (1 point per question)

Students will get word in English and they are responsible for writing correctly the word in Spanish. (No partial credit, if you miss an accent mark no credit will be given for that question.)

This Sunday it will be open to the public from 11-3pm.  It is a great opportunity for us to learn more about Islam and our community.  For seventh graders it will be a great preview to out unit in Islam approaching and for eight graders a great review.  Attached you will find documents necessary to complete this extra credit assignment.  If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me.

It is important to read all information and follow all steps to get credit for this assignment.
