Today in class we researched 4 Mesopotamian Empires.  
  • Students are expected to read and annotate a piece of text that examines 4 of the major Mesopotamian Empires.  
  • Then they fill in and color code a chart
  • There are 8 empires on the chart
  • The second 4 empires were filled in for them already 
  • I also made a corresponding PowerPoint with several pictures to help deepen their understand of the information.  We will look at the PowerPoint in class on Monday.

We watched a video a Journals Through History Video entitled Mesopotamia: Nomads to Farmers and answered some guided questions.  
 
This video is meant to be an introduction to Mesopotamia and it provides a lot of good visuals.  We have two more videos like this and will watch them at the beginning of next week.  We would have watched them all in the same day, but I did not anticipate all the questions and conversation they would inspire.  All three videos are located on the "Mesopotamia Assignments" page of our website....
