          I am very happy and excited to have your child in Accelerated Math 6 class.  This year we have many concepts to cover including all of the 6th grade standards as well as half of the 7th grade standards.  We will be working diligently in class in order to master these topics. However, I’d like to offer parents additional options for skills practice at home.  IXL.com is an excellent source of math enrichment.  It is a math website that accommodates students of all levels from kindergarten to Calculus. What I love about IXL.com is that not only does it provide a variety of problems, but when a student answers incorrectly, a detailed explanation of how to solve the problem correctly is provided.

          A family membership cost $79 a year; however, I can get a class subscription for all of my students for $1350.  That comes to just $10 per student for the entire year!   In order to do this, I would like to ask for donations from parents to help me cover the cost of membership for math online enrichment.  If you would like to donate, please send the donation in an envelope by next Friday 9/29. (I understand that some families are unable to donate, so if you would like to donate for another child as well, that would certainly be appreciated!!!)
