    • There is a picture of my lesson on a part of speech - interjections (like the one I used in the first sentence of this post!)
    • The second two pictures are of the worksheet for the "Alliteration Poem" project. Alliteration is a type of figurative language (repetition of consonant letters) -"... soft, silky snow"
    • students are coming up with their own "creature" and giving it a name which must start with a consonant letter (any letter except vowels). Then students are creating a poem (does not need to rhyme), alliterating most of the words with the same letter that your creature starts with. See the examples on the worksheet.
