Jack tries in his classes and enjoys using the computer to write his stories. Kenya has been a delightful student. I really enjoyed her in math class with her cheeriness and pleasant attitude. Pearl is a wonderful young lady and has been an active member of our AVID class. Loise is a model student who is always on time, always has her homework, does a thoughtful, quality job on every assignment and works effectively in her group. AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS: The awards banquet for the girl’s (varsity) softball team and boy’s volleyball team will take place today during lunch in the Multipurpose Room. PROMOTIONAL ITEMS: PTSA will be selling new T-shirts during lunch on Tuesday 6/15. The T-shirts cost $10 and sizes are youth XL, and adult S, M, L and XL (only a few of these left). We will also be selling teddy bears for $5 and panthers for $10. Each comes with a CCMS 2010 pin. Pins will also be for sale at 50 cents for small and $1 for large. On Friday June 18th we will be selling these items at the 8th grade promotion along with drinks and anything else left in the student store. All these funds help support your PTSA! Thank you! YEARBOOKS: Students who purchased yearbooks will receive them in their homeroom class on Tuesday, 6/15. Yearbooks will be sold to 8th graders only on Tuesday morning at the 8th grade breakfast. 6th and 7th graders will be able to purchase yearbooks Tuesday after school in room 132. LIBRARY: All library books are now past due. If you owe money for lost books it must be paid in cash; outstanding balances will result in 8th graders not getting their promotion certificate and report cards will be withheld for all grade levels. The library is closed to all classes and students through the rest of the school year. ATTENTION 8TH GRADERS: The Student vs. Faculty Basketball game ended with the score of 52-51 with the faculty barely beating the 8th graders. Two in a row! I bet the students were a lot less sore on Saturday than the students. Promotion rehearsals will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 12:50 to 2:20 p.m. PTSA Breakfast and Yearbook Signing will be on Tuesday on the patio during 1st period. The PTSA sponsored Picnic will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. LOST AND FOUND: Please come to the office to claim your lost and found items including clothes, glasses, shoes, etc. Anything left in the Lost and Found will be donated to charity on June 18, the last day of school. COMMUNITY DISCOUNT CARDS: If you haven’t bought your Community Discount Card yet, now is your chance. They’re half price! Please stop by the main office to see Mrs. Pealer to buy your card for only $5.00. They expire on August 31 so still plenty of time to get your money’s worth. LUNCH FOR TODAY: Today’s special is Chef’s Choice. Freshly Made Sandwiches and Salads offered daily. There is Fresh Fruit & Salad Bar at each serving station. All cafeteria accounts must be paid in full prior to the end of the school year and credit balance will be rolled over to the next school year. E-funds automated payments will be temporarily shut off beginning July 1 for summer and resume on August 23. BREAKFAST FOR NEXT WEEK: The special is Chef’s Choice. Fruit and Yogurt, Whole Grain Cereal or Yogurt & String Cheese, Fresh Fruit, and a variety of Milk & Juice. Breakfast is $1.75.
