LAST WEEK BELL SCHEDULE: Today and Thursday are block days with periods 1, 3, 5; Wednesday is a block day with periods 2, 4, 6; and Friday, June 18 for 6th and 7th graders the schedule will be: Period 1: 8:20 – 8:55, Period 2: 9:00 – 9:35, Period 3: 9:40 – 10:15, Period 4: 10:20 – 10:55, Period 5: 11:00 – 11:35, Period 6: 11:40 – dismissal which will begin at 12:00. Lunch is served on Friday to only those students who pre-ordered.
 
STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Today’s special presentation of Students of the Month is Louis, Corinne, Courtney, and Melody. Louis is cooperative, attentive, and detail oriented. For the year, Corinne has been a responsible student by participating in all class activities and completing all assigned work. What a pleasure! Courtney is a well-organized, hard-working student and a pleasure to have in class. Melody is an amazing student and person who comes into class ready to work hard with a positive attitude. She has attained a A throughout the course of the year.
 
YEARBOOKS: Attention 7th grade yearbook staff: please go to Room 114, the computer lab, after checking in with your homeroom teacher! Students who purchased yearbooks will receive them in their homeroom class this morning. Yearbooks will be sold to 8th graders only this morning during the 8th grade breakfast. 6th and 7th graders will be able to purchase yearbooks after school in room 114 today.
 
NEW ELECTIVE CLASS: Attention all 7th graders: We may be offering Yearbook as an elective class next school year. If you would like to take this class please sign up on the sheet located on the front counter in the Main Office.
 
PROMOTIONAL ITEMS: PTSA will be selling new T-shirts during lunch today. The T-shirts cost $10 and sizes are youth XL, and adult S, M, L and XL (only a few of these left). We will also be selling teddy bears for $5 and panthers for $10. Each comes with a CCMS 2010 pin. Pins will also be for sale at 50 cents for small and $1 for large. On Friday June 18th we will be selling these items at the 8th grade promotion along with drinks and anything else left in the student store. All these funds help support your PTSA! Thank you!
 
LIBRARY: All library books are now past due. If you owe money for lost books it must be paid in cash; outstanding balances will result in 8th graders not getting their promotion certificate and report cards will be withheld for all grade levels. The CCMS library is closed to all classes and students until student registration days in August.
 
ATTENTION 8TH GRADERS: Promotion rehearsals will be held today and Thursday from 12:50 to 2:20 p.m. PTSA Breakfast and Yearbook Signing will be on Tuesday on the patio during 1st period. The PTSA sponsored Picnic will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
 
LOST AND FOUND: Please come to the office to claim your lost and found items including clothes, glasses, shoes, etc. Anything left in the Lost and Found will be donated to charity on June 18, the last day of school.
 
COMMUNITY DISCOUNT CARDS: If you haven’t bought your Community Discount Card yet, now is your chance. They’re half price! Please stop by the main office to see Mrs. Pealer to buy your card for only $5.00. They expire on August 31 so still plenty of time to get your money’s worth.
 
LUNCH FOR TODAY: Today’s special is Chef’s Choice. Freshly Made Sandwiches and Salads offered daily. There is Fresh Fruit & Salad Bar at each serving station. All cafeteria accounts must be paid in full prior to the end of the school year and credit balance will be rolled over to the next school year. E-funds automated payments will be temporarily shut off beginning July 1 for summer and resume on August 23.
 
BREAKFAST FOR NEXT WEEK: The special is Chef’s Choice. Fruit and Yogurt, Whole Grain Cereal or Yogurt & String Cheese, Fresh Fruit, and a variety of Milk & Juice. Breakfast is $1.75.
 
CAUGHT YOU BEING GOOD: Congratulations to the following students who have been Caught Being Good: Marissa, Muroslava, Aubree, Manon, Kayla, Amber, Aitana, Lindsay, Crystal, and Sylvia. We will be announcing the winner of the laptop on Thursday from the students who have been picked in the weekly drawings.
