STUDENT BULLETIN Thursday, June 17, 2010 LAST WEEK BELL SCHEDULE: Friday, June 18 for 6th and 7th graders the schedule will be: Period 1: 8:20 – 8:55, Period 2: 9:00 – 9:35, Period 3: 9:40 – 10:15, Period 4: 10:20 – 10:55, Period 5: 11:00 – 11:35, Period 6: 11:40 – dismissal which will begin at 12:00 and ALL STUDENTS WILL BE RELEASED THROUGH THE FRONT GATE ONLY. Lunch is served on Friday to only those students who pre-ordered. STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Congratulations to all the Students of the Month. Today we feature Isabella, Alissa, Flora, and Ashley. Isabella is a great student and asks good questions in class. She also received the highest score ever on the Percussion test. Alissa is always ready for class and a wonderful young lady. Flora has always arrived to class since September with a positive attitude, a smile on her face, good work ethics and a great disposition! Flora has been a delight to have had in class this year! Ashley is my teacher choice for student of the month because she is very eager to learn science and is very confident with herself as a person. She always completes all her classwork in a timely fashion without complaining and she works well with her classmates. YEARBOOKS: You will be able to purchase yearbooks after school in Room 114 today for $45.00 cash only from 2:20 to 2:50 p.m. NEW ELECTIVE CLASSES: Attention all 7th graders: We may be offering Yearbook and Teacher Assistant as elective classes next school year. If you would like to take either of these classes please sign up on the sheets located on the front counter in the Main Office. PROMOTIONAL ITEMS: PTSA will be selling during lunch today new T-shirts (sizes are youth XL, and adult S, M, L) which cost $10 and teddy bears with a CCMS 2010 pin for $5. Pins will also be for sale at 50 cents for small and $1 for large. On Friday, June 18th we will be selling these items at the 8th grade promotion. LIBRARY: All library books are now past due. If you owe money for lost books it must be paid in cash; outstanding balances will result in 8th graders not getting their promotion certificate and report cards will be withheld for all grade levels. The CCMS library is closed to all classes and students until student registration days in August. ATTENTION 8TH GRADERS: Promotion rehearsals will be held today from 1:00 to 2:20 p.m. on the track. Promotion tickets will be distributed to students during this time. LOST AND FOUND: Please come to the office to claim your lost and found items including clothes, glasses, shoes, etc. Anything left in the Lost and Found will be donated to charity on June 18, the last day of school. ONGOING FUNDRAISERS: Please ask your parents, friends and family to sign up for EScrip through their favorite grocery store – Ralphs, Vons, etc. Don’t forget to save Box Tops for Education over the summer. All of these are FREE for you and benefit our school greatly. See the Panther Partners and PTSA pages on our website under the PARENT banner. CAUGHT YOU BEING GOOD: And now the moment you’ve been waiting for, the winner of the laptop computer from John Riordan Plumbing is . . . . . . . . . . 6th grader, Oscar Lopez. Congratulations, Oscar! Please come to the office so Mr. Riordan and Mr. Pearson may present you with your new laptop. LUNCH FOR TODAY: Chef’s Choice; Cheese, Pepperoni Pizza with Milk or Water. BREAKFAST FOR TOMORROW: Chef’s Choice; Cereals, Bagels, and Fruit/Yogurt Smoothies, Fresh Seasonal Fruit.
