CJSF: The California Junior Scholarship Federation is now accepting applications for membership. 8th grade students who have A’s and B’s on your previous semester report card and have O's or S's in citizenship can apply. Applications will be accepted before school, during lunch, or afterschool in Room 235, the deadline is THIS Friday, by 2:30pm.
6TH GRADE ASB APPLICATION: Interviews will be held during lunch; interview schedules will be sent to applicants by Tuesday, September 6. Final decisions will be made by Friday, September 9th.
PE CLOTHES: The Student Store will be selling PE clothes during lunch and after school. Cost is $12 for shorts and $12 for shirt. The CCMS Beanies are $12.00 and the CCMS Hats are $22.00. The students will be dressing in PE out this week.
AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS: Girls Volleyball: The 6th Grade Volleyball team lists are posted in front of the PE office in the glass display case. Attention girls JV volleyball players: Varsity, 7th Grade, and JV teams began practice on September 1st beginning at 4:30 pm. Cross Country: Practice begins soon. Flag Football: Practice is cancelled for 9/6 and 9/7. 8th grade Flag Football has practice on Tuesday after school. 6th grade has practice on Wednesday after school. WALK N ROLLERS: Take the Parent Pledge & Win a Chance to Ride the Barcycle: Take the Culver City Safe Routes to School Parent/Caregiver Pledge and show your commitment to helping Culver City Schools be healthier and safer. By taking the pledge, you will be entered in a raffle to win 2 seats to ride on the Barcycle during Culver City's Centennial Celebration, September 24 (the Barcycle is a 15 passenger self powered bicycle)! 1 winner will be chosen from each school. Walk to School Day Volunteers Needed: Sign up to help with your school's Safe Routes to School or Walk & Bike to School program at the SRTS Table at your Back to School Night. The more volunteers we have, the better your school's program is!Walking or biking to school with your children provides a unique opportunity to spend a few car-free moments talking about safety, responsibility and community, and can be a lot of fun. Sunday, September 18 | Family Ride: Keeping it Cool: Join us on this refreshing ride slurping up some summertime fun. Bring the kids and together we'll explore Culver City's yummiest, slurpiest treats! Meet at 11:00 a.m. at Farragut Elementary School. EL PARENT NIGHT: All parents are cordially invited to the 3rd EL Parent Night will take place on Thursday, September 8 from 5 to 7 pm in Room 110, Computer Lab.
CCMS PTSA: CCMS parents invited to our first PTSA meeting on Thursday, September 8th at 6:30 pm in the Middle School library. Come join us to hear about CCMS happenings from Principal Villafranca and PTSA, meet other parents, and discover ways to get involved! We look forward to seeing you!

Monday: No School Tuesday: Crunchy Beef tacos w/Refried Beans & Mexican Rice; Sweet ‘n Sour or Teriyaki Chicken served w/Rice; Hawaiian Pizza. Wednesday: Mini Corndog served with choice of Seasoned French Fries or Sweet Potato Fries; Chicken or Pork Chow Mein. Thursday: Baked Chicken Tender w/Mashed Potatoes; Build Your Own Deli Sandwich w/choice of Seasoned French Fries or Sweet Potato Fries; BBQ Chicken Pizza.
Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza, Fresh Garden Salad Bar and Milk served daily. Other daily specials include Deli Sandwiches served with Baked Chips, Baby Carrots, and Fresh Fruit; Entree Salads such as Chicken Caesar, Chinese Chicken, Vegan, Yogurt Parfaits, and more; Hot Sandwiches such as Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Cheeseburgers, Breaded Chicken Breast or Spicy Chicken on a Bun; Lunch is $3.00. You must take a minimum of ½ cup Fruit and/or Vegetables with every lunch. Water is NOT included with your meal. The cost for bottled is $1.00. Everyone must use their PIN when purchasing lunch – NO EXCEPTIONS! Vegetarian Items available daily!

Assorted Cereals, Bagel & Cream Cheese; and Fruit Juices and Milk are available daily. Breakfast is $2.00.
