In-class Socratic Seminar on the internment of Japanese-Americans.  Students will need their prepared questions and answers to discuss.  We will be conducting rounds 2 & 3 of socratic seminars.

In class Socratic Seminar on the internment of Japanese-Americans.  Students will have first half of class to finish preparing questions and answers to discuss.  We will begin round 1 of socratic seminar second half of class on Thurs/Friday and finish the seminar rounds on Monday.

One evidence-based paragraph on "The Bracelet" is due on Monday.  You may type or handwrite your paragraph.  Please see attached rubric for questions on how it will be scored and use comments from your rough draft to write an improved final draft.  Honors students, you must print your own copy of your final draft.  This is to be completed AT HOME.

Reading Log Quotation Reflection:  Your monthly quotation analysis is due on Monday.  Select 3 quotations from your choice reading books.  On the second page of your reading log, write the 3 quotes (with page number), paraphrase the quotes (what do they mean in your own words?), and analyze the quotes (explain how they connect in a meaningful way to the theme, plot, character development, suspense, etc., within the book.
