We are doing an "Americana" themed concert where each middle school ensemble will perform, as well as the high school ensembles, and then we are going to do a big finale where the 6th grade choir, 7th/8th grade choir, plus advanced band and advanced orchestra from the middle school, as well as the high school band, choir, and orchestra, will all play together....it's "Dry Your Tears," from Amistad. Advanced elementary school students are also invited and encouraged to perform. We are all very excited.

Dr. Spano is also having an essay contest, open to students in 4th-8th grade who are in a music ensemble, who can write an essay about what music means to them. The winner will be given a baton, conducting lessons, and will conduct the CCHS Concert Band on "Stars and Stripes" on the evening of the concert.

The concert will be at 7pm on Thursday, February 19th, in the Robert Frost Auditorium. We look forward to seeing you there!
