Most people can remember a book that impacted their lives. Often, this book is connected to a pleasurable experience. It could have been the first book you learned to read. It could have been a book that troubled you. An important book does not necessarily have to be well-loved. Think about your history as a reader. Recall a book that sticks out in your mind. Literary histories can often determine how we read and write. Past reading experiences influence our current reading and writing.

In a Google Slides presentation, please share the title of a book that is important to you. Give two (2) reasons why this book is important to you, and then share five (5) positive OR negative reading or writing events that affect how you view reading and writing today. 



Write arguments to support claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence.
Present claims and findings, sequencing ideas logically and using pertinent descriptions.
Include multimedia components and visual displays in presentations.
Demonstrate command of standard English grammar, usage, and conventions.
