Language Immersion Programs

CCMS offers two special language programs: the Spanish Dual Language Program and the Japanese Language Program.

Spanish Dual Language Program
To join this program, students need to meet one of these requirements:

• They came from an elementary dual language program, OR
• They are a native or heritage Spanish speaker and pass a language test.

Students in this program take two classes every year for three years: Spanish Language Arts (this counts as their elective) and Spanish Social Science.

Japanese Language Program
To join this program, students need to meet one of these requirements:

• They came from an elementary dual language program, OR
• They are a native or heritage Japanese speaker and pass a language test.

Students in this program take Japanese Language Arts (this counts as their elective) every year for three years.
