The midterm test on this Thursday and Friday Take a look at chapter 1, 2, 3, 4 and. 10. Some arese to look at , plants, photosynthesis, cells, electromagnetic spectrum, color, reflection refraction, diffusion. There will be 50 multiple choice questions for the Mid Term.

Do an internet search and choose one type of cancer and print out a copy. Please bring this printed copy to class. You will be making the Cancer booklet in class on 1-23-13. If you want to bring pictures or other materials to add to your booklet please feel free to do so. The cancer booklet is worth 45 points.
Study for Chapter 4 Test Photosynthesis, Cellular Respiration, Mitosis, and the differences between Cytokinesis in plant and animal cell, DNA bases, Cell differentiation
Test will be multiple choice, true and false, fill in blank and short summary
Study the functions of the organelles for the quiz on the plant and animal cells.
Cell project will start in class. Please talk to your group members and have and start Brainstorm the design of your cell. Bring in all materials for the cell.
The cell Project is due on December 5 for periods 1, 3, and 5 and December 6th for periods 4 and 6.
1. Read pages 88-95 and complete the assessment on page 95.
2. On Monday the Cell Posters will be completed in class.
3. Brain storm what type of cell you and your group might want to work on a plant or an animal cell. Start collecting ideas and materials to build your cell. You will need to use a different type of material for each organelle.
For the Nucleus, nucleolus, cell wall, cell membrane and cytoplasm you need to use different types of materials. Please note the color of each organelle in your textbook and it must match your project.
Choose materials that will match the specific function of each organelle. For example, if you use red beans for the mitochondria you cannot use beans again. You will be working with the same groups that you work with on the cell poster. This week everyone will receive a hardcopy of the rubric for the Cell Project.

2. Complete the key terms Chapter 3 section 2 on page (88-95)
4. Study for the quiz (the parts and functions of the compound microscope on page 688 or from the handout). Also, for the quiz look over notes and warm-up for both plant and animal cells and organelles.
