Promotion Speech due today.  Periods 1 and 5 must write a promotion speech, but delivery is optional. You must deliver your speech if you would like to be considered for promotion.

The House on Mango Street Dialectical Journal- 10 entries will be completed in class. When we have finished the book, you will submit your journal. This is an approximate due date. TESTING WILL BEGIN WHEN WE RETURN FROM SPRING BREAK

The CCMS testing window for all students will begin upon return from Spring Break on April 7th.  Please support us by ensuring that students are on time to school, eating breakfast, and sleeping well the night before.  Attached is the testing schedule and a parent letter that will be mailed home this week.  Students will test in their content area class (i.e. English Language Arts (ELA) test will be taken during the period the student has ELA) and each subject will we taken over the course of two weeks.  The English Language Arts and Math Test will be taken on computers and the Eighth grade science will be taken the week of May 11 (pencil and paper test).  Please contact Mr. Barclay or Dr. Gotanda if you have any questions regarding the schedule or the test itself.
