Use your textbook to locate/generate definitions for the 10 assigned words. Make sure your pictures are all colorful. No "2 second stick figures"- even though the boxes are small, your drawings should still contain detail and be neat.

Constantinople postcard- students should use their Byzantine Empire: Constantinople graphic organizer (completed in class) to write a color postcard describing the capitol of the Byzantine Empire, Constantinople. Post cards must have at least two facts about Constantinople.

Roman Achievement Travel Brochure (Project.) Using your Rubric/assignment sheet and draft sheet (completed in class,) create a travel brochure for the Roman Empire. Remember to follow guidelines on your rubric/assignment sheet!

Students, you should be finished with the "planning my travel brochure" draft sheet. Come to class with descriptions 1/2/3 completed, ready for a peer edit at the beginning of class Thursday/Friday : )

Roman Achievement Advertisement - (Finish from class) Choose one of the advertisements we talked about in class, and create an advertisement for the achievement, using the guidelines from class. Advertisements should be in full color!

12 Tables Paragraph- Write a paragraph 4-6 sentences long on the prompt given in class. Use your 12 Tables graphic organizer from class to help you write your paragraph.

Romulus and Remus Comic Book Strip- use your class notes from the story of Romulus and Remus (summaries and 6 key events) to create a comic book strip. Each "scene" in your comic strip should reflect one of your 6 key events. Make sure your comic strip is in full color for maximum points.

Rome Unit Visual Vocabulary- (finish from class) find definitions for each assigned vocabulary word using the text, glossary, and index in your textbook. Remember to include drawings that are neat, and colorful.

Continents/Oceans Map- (finish from class) complete your map using the appropriate page in your textbook atlas (in the front appendix of the textbook.) Make sure you use the provided checklist and directions to ensure your have labeled all the features listed.
