This class will focus on the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics which address Standards for Mathematical Practice and Content. In order to assure that students are learning the critical information they need to succeed at higher levels, the standards stress procedural and conceptual understanding. IXL Winter Break Homework -
This is homework to practice and master operations with integers which will show up a lot in semester 2. It is not recommended to complete all of this in one sitting, but to practice regularly over several days/weeks. The IXL practice includes a review of 6th & 7th grade level integer practice that you are expected to know before 2nd semester. If one of the integer operations is challenging for you, make flashcards of the rules and then practice them over several weeks until you know them by memory.
