FOR STUDENTS INTERESTED IN RETAKING THE UNIT 1 TEST ON RATIOS:

NOTE that to be eligible to retake Test 1, you must complete 2 different tasks that are described below. But first some information about the date and time:

Because it is a retake, the times the test will be given are after school from 2:40-4:00pm on Thursday, October 17th and Friday, October 18th. You may choose whichever day works best for you, but those are the only dates that you may retake the test. Make sure to leave one of those dates open if you plan to retake the test.

TASKS: Regardless of what day you are retaking the test, these assignments must be submitted on Thursday before 2:40pm!

1.) The first task is completing the "Test 1 Defense Packet" that is attached to this post. Yes, it is long, but to be able to retake the test you must show you are able to put in time and effort into it including signing up for PAWS and/or coming to get help after school. Keep in mind you a week to complete this packet, so spread out the work (maybe one page per day). Moreover, if you are able to complete and understand this packet you will do fine on the test.

2.) The second task is to complete test corrections for at least 5 problems you got wrong on your first test (any problems that have a circled fraction like +3/4 means that you did not receive full credit). The template for test corrections is also attached to this post and it is simple: show how the problem should be done correctly, tell me what steps you took to get your answer, and tell me what mistakes you made when you first tried the problem (in other words, why did you get it wrong?)

2.) There is no other official homework EXCEPT for those re-taking the test this upcoming Thursday/Friday. Use the weekend to get as much of the Dense Packet and test corrections done! If you have any questions feel free to email me.
