Come to CCMS on March 18 from 6-8 pm to see how our Wavecatchers club "Catches the Waves" coming from space. Look through telescopes brought by members of the Los Angeles Astronomical Society and snack on treats brought to you by the Helping Hands Club and the Eco Club. From 6pm -8pm in the CCMS computer lab the CCMS Wavecatchers club will be collecting radio waves from a very distant object in our universe. Watch, see what they do, and ask questions! 6pm - 8pm: Scientists from JPL who use the data collected by the Wavecatchers will be on hand to answer questions and explain why our participation is helpful to their research. From 7pm - 8:30pm on the soccer field the Los Angeles Astronomical Society will be holding a "Star Party" for interested students and adults to view planets, stars and the moon (weather permitting).
