Estefhani Montes serves students of CCMS with last names N-R. She has been a school counselor since 2018 and has been a counselor at CCMS since 2021. Motivated by her passion for social justice, equity, and mental health, Mrs. Montes is committed to helping all students, especially those who have been traditionally marginalized and underserved, reach their full potential. Trained in restorative practices and trauma-informed counseling, she works to address the underlying issues affecting students' well-being, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and empowered. Her approach centers on empowering students to navigate challenges and set achievable goals, while fostering an environment of inclusivity and support. She believes that every student deserves the opportunity to thrive and is dedicated to dismantling barriers that hinder their success. Mrs. Montes is able to directly work with these particular students as the school's AVID coordinator. 

 

Mrs. Montes  is a first generation Mexican-American, born and raised in Lynwood, California. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Media and Cultural Studies from the University of California, Riverside and a Masters of Science in School Counseling from California State University, Long Beach. On her free time, she spends time with her husband trying different coffee shops around Long Beach and with her young son.
