This will be my 3rd year teaching Math to 6th graders at CCMS. Before teaching Math, I taught Special Education (both RSP and SDC) for 9 years. My 10th year was spent in Special Education Administration and I often use my summers to serve as Summer School Principal here at CCUSD (I may have met you while serving in that capacity!) 

In my class, your child will experience a lot of mathematic connections with various, easily accessible foods because (1) food is my love language, (2) it gives your child something to go home and share/recreate with you, and (3) it creates a multi-sensory experience that resides in many students' minds for years to come. I also recognize and give space for the artists in my midst, because it is an ambition of mine to find as many opportunities as possible for Math and Art to converge! 

 

I have chosen this photo because my car is like my second "office!" I take many parent conference calls from the road throughout the year while I drive to/from CCMS (approximately 3.5hrs on the road each day!) So please pardon me if I have my camera off on a Google Meets session, from time to time. I am fully engaged, just attending to safety at the same time. =)
