Ms. Forrester joined the Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) in 2025, bringing a wealth of musical expertise and a passionate commitment to the music program. She currently serves as the CCMS Band Director and co-directs the CCHS Marching Band. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Master of Education from National University. Before joining CCUSD, Ms. Forrester dedicated several years to teaching at various middle and high schools throughout Southern California, cultivating a rich background in music education.

 

Ms. Forrester's professional expertise is complemented by a distinguished career in marching band performance. A five-year veteran of Drum Corps International (DCI), she performed on euphonium for elite organizations including the Santa Clara Vanguard, the Bluecoats, and the Blue Devils. Her performance career is highlighted by two World Championship titles, earned with the Bluecoats in 2016 and the Blue Devils in 2017. She also performed as a member of the renowned UCLA Marching Band.

 

As a director, Ms. Forrester has led her ensembles to significant acclaim. Her groups have consistently earned prestigious honors, including an SCSBOA Marching Band Championship Title and numerous Superior ratings at both SCSBOA and Music in the Parks festivals. Notably, in 2025, the CCMS Symphonic Band earned a First Place finish with a Superior Rating and the prestigious Esprit de Corps award at the Music in the Parks festival.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Forrester stays active and finds inspiration through yoga, attending live musical performances, and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Venice Beach.
