I have worked with children since I was old enough to babysit-5th grade. When I was in 7th grade I decided I was going to be a Special Ed Teacher. I volunteered to teach sunday school, tutor as an assistant at a camp for students with intellectual disabilities until I was 16 and could work there.
When I went to college, Virginia Commenwealt University, I finished with a BS in Special Education. I later continued my educaiton and earned a Masters in Special Education. I have currently been teaching for 35 years, 12 of those years at a private Christian School.
I currently teach English to students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade. My passion is for all students to learn to read and write. With that in mind I make it a point to take part in learning opportunities that will help me better serve my students.
I am a mother of 3 adult children former Culver City students and one teen who will be a senior next year. I am a wife and sister. I still teach Sunday School, do crafts and garden.
