Station D: Why do Bridges have joints?
Procedure:
1. Discuss with your partner why bridges are built with joints.
2. Go to bridge simulation:
a. Describe what you did in the simulation, and what happened.
b. Using evidence from the simulation explain why bridges are built with joints.
c. Research at least 4 examples of things that expand when heated.

There is a digital copy attached here, I made a copy for each of you. This is where you can submit it digitally. 
If you want to turn it in on paper, you can get a piece of construction paper. Get ONE so there's enough for everyone. 


**Drawings or images can be printed out by you (at home) or can be hand-made. If you have sloppy writing (you know who you are), type the information and paste it or create your poster digitally. **

This is where you will TURN IN the WRITTEN portion, the models will be turned in- in class. 

Complete all FOUR sheets of the Sea star dissection. These are due Thursday (odd periods) and Friday (even periods). 
Draw AND label the structures of the water vascular system, MAKE SURE THIS TAKES UP ALMOST THE ENTIRE SHEET (you have a lot of space for this).

You worked on the IZ food web with your groups. Complete the IZ food web at home if not finished. Predator Prey cards with 11 organisms are in Thurs/Fri< Week7 of google classroom.


Mark as DONE only, and only, if you turned it in.

If you did not complete the classwork, it must be done for homework. Complete the intertidal zone model. 1. For EACH zone, you must research at least 2 plants/algae (seaweeed), and 3 organisms (animals). 
2. Make sure each zone is represented by a different color. 
3. Draw a picture
4. Label each picture with the name of the plant, or algae, or organism.


When you are complete, and ONLY when you have completed this, Mark as DONE.

1. Create a title page on a blank piece of paper and paste it on 6R

2. You must complete the what I observe/What I notice gallery walk from Tues/Wed slides on page 7L. You need to write ONE observation and ONE what I wonder for each figure. (Place it on the top 1/2 of 7R).

* Table of contents (4 pages, numbered up to 100)
*All pages after table of contents need to be numbered, up to 100. We started this in class (1L, 1R, 2L, 2R, 3L, 3R, and so forth)
*All items glued to appropriate pages
*Update table of contents with titles of each page (see image). We still need to attach 5L, 5R and work on 6L and 6R. We will do this next class.

The safety contract will be pasted in your notebook. It will be stamped (this is the mark for completion) and will count as points for the notebook check. 

We will setup our notebooks on Monday, it is important that you come to class prepared to setup your notebook.
