You are expected to use your work on the "Argumentative Essay Outline: The House on Mango Street"  to complete the “Argumentative Essay.” You must submit your double-spaced Times New Roman sized 12 font typed MLA formatted essay to the class tray.

Writing Prompt:
As a renowned Chicana writer, Sandra Cisneros uses The House on Mango Street to illuminate various thematic topics that guide Esperanza’s journey toward self-discovery. 
Highlight one (1) of the following prominent thematic topics to analyze: 
Community
Age
Gender
Culture
Social Class
Argue how the selected thematic topic reveals a corresponding theme that guides Esperanza through her journey of self-discovery. Be sure to thoroughly justify what Esperanza discovers about herself and why it is significant.

Utilize the link for Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English, or an alternative reliable online dictionary, and cite dictionary entries for each vocabulary word. 

SUPER HONORABLE CHALLENGE:

For each vocabulary word, please provide at least one (1) interesting factoid, such as the word's etymology (word origin) or rhyming words.

You will complete this assignment on paper and will submit your work to the corresponding class tray at the front of the classroom. These assignments will be displayed in our classroom.

The following information should be found on your "One-Pager" (in any order that you decide):

The title of the story that you are focusing on

After reviewing the following case study, determine whom you think is the most intelligent and why. Please answer in a minimum of five (5) sentences. Directions are posted on the worksheet.
