1.  Students will find a version of La Leyenda de La Llorona (in Spanish).  If it is from an online source they will copy and paste it to a word document and bring it to class on Monday)  Must include the link.
 
If it if from a book, student must bring a photocopy of the legend or a summary of the legend.  The title and author of the source must also be included to receive full credit.
 
2.  Students will turn in their first homework packet for the Spring Semester.  This packet includes:

Students should have 5 facts about euthanasia, 5 arguments in favor of it, and 5 arguments against it.
 
ex:
Facts:  what countries allow it?  what states allow it? how many people have used it?  
 
Arguments for:  people may suffer less if they are allowed to use Euthanasia
 
Arguments against:  it may be used illegally and more frequently causing unnecessary or premature deaths
 
 
During class on Tuesday students will be given a position (they will not be allow to pick a side).  They will be practicing the skill of debating and argumentation.
 
While at the same time, developing their impromptu speaking skills in Spanish.
 
(It may be hard for some students, but they will be graded for effort and preparation, not only FLUENCY)

- fully illustrate the chapter
