the rubric for the Reformation One-Pager, given in class Th/Fri later this week, is attached. Please make sure you bring your rubric with you to class next Monday, when you will have more time to work on the one-pager. The rubric must also be turned in with your one-pager!

Here is the study guide for our upcoming test on Feudal Europe. You should use any returned work, notes, and other class resources to help you. **you will not be able to answer the question about conflict between the Pope and king until next week 

 

Students, make sure you enter the BOOK RAFFLE going on in our class! Thanks to a few friendly sponsors, several of you will win a free book from our school's Book Fair, going on this week! To enter, fill out a "ticket" in our room, then put it into the "raffle bucket" shoe box by the whiteboard. On Thursday morning I will draw names to determine the winning students. I will notify winners by delivering a "winner coupon" to your 3rd period class. Winners will meet me in the library after school on Thursday, 4/18 when you will pick out your book! One entry per student. Good luck :)

Here is the powerpoint we used in class to introduce evidence sentences. Please rewrite your evidence sentence/paragraph final draft on a fresh sheet of binder paper- it should not be the same paper as your great leader notes/first draft.

Here are the directions and requirements for the one-pager project, as well as the rubric, distributed in class. It is due at the end of the class period on Thursday (1/5) and Friday (2/4/6). You will have all of class on Thursday/Friday to continue to work on your one-pager, but it's a good idea to work on it at home and come in with a plan next class! Make sure you bring all returned work to help you organize information.

 

Here is the study guide for the Japan unit test, next Tuesday (1/5) and Wednesday (2/4/6). As always, the study guide is optional and does not count for class credit. Open PAWS will be Thursday 2/21, see me after school for review/corrections!

The reading we annotated today is attached, please refer to it if you need to complete your descriptions of the achievements, in not finished during class. Once graded, your annotated version will be returned to you!

Students, attached is the study guide for the upcoming test on our Africa unit. This study guide can be printed and completed, or you may simply look at it to review. This is not turned in for credit. Paper copies will be available tomorrow after school.

Attached are the directions for your postcard from the Kingdom of Ghana. Make sure it has your name in the closing, ex: "Sincerely, Polly Panther, per. 1"

Here is the study guide for our Islam unit test on Monday, December 3rd. Remember, this is a tool to help you prepare, along with your notes and returned work. This is not an "assignment" and does not receive credit in the gradebook. You can see me after school on Wednesday or Friday for help, or in the library on Thursday!

Complete the Islamic Expansion timeline using the sentence strips on the piece of binder paper. Remember that all timeline have a title! You can go onto a second page if you run out of room!

Students, remember that the study guide is for viewing only and is not an actual assignment. You don't need to print it out (unless it's helpful for you to write on it) and you will not be turning it in, it is worth zero points! If you have any questions, please come after school Tuesday or to the library on Thursday for help. Happy studying!

NON-RETREAT STUDENTS ONLY: here are the directions, given in class, for your illustrated 12 table:

- choose one of the 8 tables examined to illustrate

- illustration must be in full color, no stick figures, and detailed. 

- literal translation of your table must be clearly written on the front

RETREAT STUDENTS: you do not have any makeup work. You will complete this same assignment next Monday, when today's students go on the retreat. 

Please complete the questions on the back of your article, distributed during class. Make sure to bring the article, as well as your source questions on Tuesday.

Please review the syllabus with a parent/guardian and initial or sign under the appropriate sections. Attached is the same copy distributed in class, in case you need another copy.  

Here is the "help me get to know you" survey, in case you need another copy. You do not need to write in complete sentences, and can include as many things about yourself as you would like. The more I know about you, the better!
