Argumentative/Persuasive Writing:
This first draft is basically your script for the flipgrid/video that you posted on 12/9. Eventually, we will turn this into a more formal letter/paper due next semester.
First draft: Letter/paper/script completed by the end of class on 12/10-12/11

This is due during your class period.

10 points for thesis
5 points for logos, pathos and ethos.
This is a project grade. Cite your sources by using intext citations.

You may use this outline if you like. It seems a bit simpler. Outlines are due by the end of class either on 11/19 or 11/20.
Use it to record your flipgrid. No required zoom on 11/19-20.

You will be given time during class to discuss/answer these. They are due at the end of the class period.

Record your hook and thesis

We will complete this during class.

If you did not earn a 27 or above, review the theme paragraph material for the test on 11/5-11/6

This will be taken on Canvas during class. You will also be participating in your Socratic Seminar on 10/22-10/23. Reminder your 6 Q/A are due on 10/20.

If not, this will be a practice warm up.

Write 6 or more Socratic Seminar Questions for your outside reading book. I will put you in a group based on the book that your are reading. Our Socratic Seminars will begin on 10/22

Reminder: Make a copy of your previous handout and submit it here. You may have to unsubmit your first two questions for the previous Socratic Seminar.
Remember: you must have questions and answers with textual evidence to support your answers. You must participate in the discussion without dominating.

Write a poem similar to the poems we studied in class. You must include personification and two other literary elements. Make sure to add visuals.

Suggested:
