Argumentative/Persuasive Writing:
This first draft is basically your script for the flipgrid/video that you posted on 12/9. Eventually, we will turn this into a more formal letter/paper due next semester.
First draft: Letter/paper/script completed by the end of class on 12/10-12/11

10 points for thesis
5 points for logos, pathos and ethos.
This is a project grade. Cite your sources by using intext citations.

You may use this outline if you like. It seems a bit simpler.
No required zoom on 11/19-20.

You will be given time during class to discuss/answer these. They are due at the end of the class period.

This is really due Thursday.

Reminder: Make a copy of your previous handout and submit it here. You may have to unsubmit your first two questions for the previous Socratic Seminar.
Remember: you must have questions and answers with textual evidence to support your answers. You must participate in the discussion without dominating.

We will do this in class on Monday.

What is the main idea. Include speaker's full name, genre (TED talk), title in quotes, and main idea. Use marker verb.

Use the attachment to write a summary of the Grit TED talk of 4-8 sentences. Include some of the suggested vocabulary such as the genre and marker verbs.
