☀️6th Grade Orientation, "Camp Panther,"- Friday, August 15th from 9:00- 11:00 am. !☀️
CCMS participates in the nationwide WEB Program. WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) is an organization whose primary purpose is to help sixth graders feel more comfortable as well as help them achieve success in their first year of middle school. The sixth-grade orientation and social events hosted by WEB are designed to both welcome and support sixth-graders by introducing them to 8th-grade WEB Leaders. These WEB Leaders are responsible older students who have been hand-selected from a large pool of applicants and have met the qualifications of being a good role model and a positive leader on our campus.
Here is what you and your student can expect in advance of Camp Panther.
-
Your student is invited to participate in our Orientation called Camp Panther! This is a 2-hour event for our incoming 6th-grade students.
-
Please sign-up so we can count your Panther in the fun! By signing up it allows the WEB program to plan accordingly for the number of students attending. Please sign up by Monday, August 11th!
-
A day or two before orientation, your student will receive communication from one of their WEB Leaders personally inviting your student to Camp Panther and giving them details, including what group number they are in.
-
Your child is encouraged not to bring backpacks, purses, or other like items to Camp Panther, as the day is very active.
-
Because the day is active, please make sure that your child wears comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement, closed-toed shoes, and brings their own water bottle.
-
We will be outside for the 2-hours, so hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen are encouraged!
-
Drop off & pick up will be at the Front Blue Gate by the main office to enter the campus.
