- Sarah Slemmons is the School Counselor for students with last names A–C. Since joining the Panther community in 2014, she has been dedicated to supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional success through a student-centered approach focused on wellness, belonging, and achievement. Ms. Slemmons earned her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and Spanish from the University of Redlands and her master’s degree in School Counseling from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She serves on school and district committees, leads staff trainings on student support and restorative practices, and helps coordinate district-wide suicide prevention training for educators. She is especially passionate about creating a welcoming school culture through the WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) program, which empowers 8th-grade student leaders to serve as mentors and role models for incoming sixth graders to successfully transition to middle school. In addition to her work with students, Ms. Slemmons serves as a mentor to graduate counseling interns, providing guidance and hands-on experience to future school counselors entering the profession. Outside of school, Ms. Slemmons enjoys time with her two young children, trips to the Colorado River, and craft projects.
