This is a semester-long class in which students engage in fun and challenging projects that will allow them to learn mathematics at a deeper level. Projects will have the following characteristics:
- They will incorporate hands-on, visual learning;
- Students will be involved in frequent decision-making;
- Collaboration and shared learning will be emphasized;
- Projects will typically result in an end-product (e.g.; construction, presentation, written recommendation, etc.);
- Essential mathematics skills will be embedded in all projects;
- Projects will vary in duration from one period to multiple weeks.
