Choose one of the 14 videos on the website Foundation for a Drug-Free World. The videos are from a short documentary series called "Real People - Real Stories". In your summary you will tell me the following:
1. The title of the video
2. The major type or classification of drug that the video spoke about.
3. Share two people's stories about how they got addicted and how it affected their lives.
4. Share 1-2 facts you learned from the video that you did not know beforehand.

I want you to come up with an idea for a campaign on how to prevent smoking and / or drinking in Teens. We'll take a look at some campaigns to see some examples. You can either create one or simply describe what it would be like (a poster, what it would say, what the photo would be of, or a commercial / video for a campaign idea and what it would look like).

PLEASE do not start this until we've gone over the slideshow on Monday. On a Google Doc, you need to share with me the following information in a 3-paragraph assignment:
Paragraph 1: What was your stress / anxiety level like BEFORE the pandemic? What was the cause of that stress / anxiety? (NOTE: You don't have to give me personal details, just let me know if it was school-related or home-related). Paragraph 2: How did/does your body react to stress or anxiety? How do you deal with those symptoms? Paragraph 3: How do you think you'll feel upon returning to school? Do you think you'll feel more or less stress and /or anxiety than you do now in distance-learning?

On a Google Doc, you will list out 3 factors that contribute to bullying of any type (cyber, physical, verbal, sexual, etc.) and how to handle each situation. You will also describe FIVE ways to prevent bullying. These prevention ideas can be from an individual's perspective or suggestions of what the school can do to prevent bullying / harassment.

Write a one-page Google Doc about a time that you either witnessed or experienced bullying or harassment. How did you feel? Would you react differently today than you did when it happened?

This week you have a CHOICE whether you want to make a "Future Identity Map" or a "Path to Your Future Self". We will go over these in class on Thursday. There are examples of these on slides # 24 and #26 in this week's Google Slideshow. You can DRAW it and take a photo of it, or, you can do it on a Google Doc. Either way, you must submit it. If you are drawing and taking a photo, emailing it to me might be easiest. But, you can also upload it to your Google Drive and share with me that way. I suggest that you do it TODAY because I will not accept it after Saturday.

Answer the 9 question in the Google Slideshow on slides 15 & 16. You can cut and paste the questions into a new Google Doc or just answer the questions. THEN, interview a friend or family member as ask them the same 9 questions. Write their answers on the same doc but make sure I know which ones are yours and which ones are the interviewee's. PLEASE PUT YOUR NAME ON THE DOC!! Thank you.

This week's assignment is based on the importance of having heroes in our lives and was prompted by the passing of Chadwick Boseman. We will go over this in class on Monday.
