Students will practice basic volleyball practice. If you are a volleyball player and have your own drill - please share with your teacher for credit on this assignment!
Materials Needed: Volleyball. Don't have a volleyball? You could use a balloon, circular nerf ball, a foam ball, a beach ball, a small (not full size) soccer ball.
Please do not use too heavy of a ball, a basketball or full sized soccer ball could hurt your arm during these drills! Do your best to find a light object to practice with!
Step 1: Locate a volleyball or an object that will work as a volleyball
Step 2: Check out the WikiHOW "How to bump a volleyball" linked below
Step 3: Choose a drill from the youtube video. The video is linked below and the names of the different drills are written here!
A. Basic Arm Touches :59
B. Play with Wall 1:58 (ask an adult before choosing this option)
C. Defense against the wall 2:56 - need someone else to assist with this (this option looks pretty fun!!!)
D. No Net Serve Receive 4:16 - need someone else to assist
Step 4: Try the drill (or multiple drills) out for 10 minutes! If you can get outside, that's ideal! If you cannot, make sure you check with an adult prior to doing any of these drills inside.
Step 5: Respond to the question: How was your experience?
Turn in the assignment when finished
